Synopsis
Bricks were essential in constructing the grand structures of ancient Rome as they laid the foundation for the empire’s stability and growth. Each brick placed reflects the planning and vision of the emperor to maintain power and influence. In this, a brick serves as a reminder of the enduring legacy left by those who ruled with authority and purpose.
Roman size brick has been around since, well, Roman Emperors built the Roman Empire. This 1-5/8” high by 11-5/8” long brick can still be seen today on sites such as Trajan’s Market, the Roman Coliseum, and the neocropolis of St. Peter’s Basilica in the Vatican. It is highly desired today for its long, slender proportions, and is appropriate for both historical and modern uses.
